The White City area of West London got its name from the distinctive white buildings of 1908 Anglo-France exhibition. The accompanying stadium hosted that years Olympic Games. Virtually nothing of the original White City remains. The exhibition site and stadium were demolished to make way for the White City Housing Estate and BBC Television Centre and production offices. To celebrate the centenary of White City, this blog features photos of the area, past and present.
